Our Ministries
We provide a wide range of opportunities to service God's people in their personal Christian walk. The growth of the body of Christ at Starlight MBC, communities and the world is our goal. As a Christ Centered body of believers, we focus on meeting each individual where they are; being the support and encouragement they need to grow closer to Christ in their personal Christian journey.
Bible Study
Being Christ Centered and Bible Based, the study of God's Word is core to our belief in building a strong relationship with Christ. Every Tuesday an in depth and meticulous engagement with God's Word is undertaken. All with the goals of increasing our understanding, growing skills to study God's Word and how we might apply it to our daily walk with Christ.
Music Ministry
The Music Ministry is a dynamic part of our worship service. Its purpose is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and exhortation, encourage believers in their walk with Christ, lead the congregation in worship and provide an avenue through which individuals may share their gifts and talents as an integral part of the worship experience.
Youth
We believe that the children and youth are very special and we are committed to helping them grow in their faith, spirituality and personal development. We minister to the whole child providing sound biblical teaching during Sunday School, weekly Bible Study and Vacation Bible School. We also provide opportunities to develop socially, emotionally and academically.
Multimedia
Enabling Starlight MBC to be a beacon light in sharing the Word of God inside and outside of the walls of the church. Affording an opportunity for members to grow their interest, skills and talents in audio, video, sound engineering, social media and information management. In support of all worship services, programs and activities touching our members and the community alike.
Health
The concept of health has a wide array of topics associated and so does the SMBC Health Ministry. The Ministry includes healthcare professionals and advocates. Faith is used to serve the congregation and community regarding education, counseling, promotion and maintenance and advocacy. The Ministry sponsors several events such as the Keep Moving program; which includes a 2-mile cancer walk, bicycle fun ride, and healthy living presentations. The ministry works in partnership with Humana (c), Bay Rollers Cycling Club and health care professionals like Dr. Andrea Espinoza to deliver effective health related support to our members and the community.
